And what sets the IPA apart from other accounting bodies is its commitment to and support of small businesses. More than 75 percent of IPA members either service small business or are small businesses themselves, and the IPA recognises the vital contribution that small business makes to the economy, both locally and globally.

As trusted advisers, Tashly Consulting and other IPA members play a pivotal role in the lives of our small business clients. We are true small business advocates, employing local staff and using local suppliers to reinvest in our local economy.

In October 2020 we were delighted when Tashly Consulting was awarded the Institute of Public Accountants 2020 Practice of the Year, Division Winner SA/NT. We are truly honored to have our commitment to, and support of, local business recognised by this award. It is particularly humbling knowing that endorsements make a significant contribution to the judging of this award, and we would like to sincerely thank our clients, colleagues, and other members of our community who completed the nomination survey on our behalf.

Three weeks later, the balloons and glitter were still floating around the office when we received the amazing news that Tashly Consulting had also been awarded the Institute of Public Accountants 2020 Practice of the Year, National Winner! As the winner of this award is chosen from the Division Winners, the calibre of competition is exceptional and we would like to extend our sincere congratulations to our fellow Division winners.

These two awards recognise the contributions we have made to our industry, the positive impact we have had on our clients, and the work we have done in our local community. 2020 marked 20 years in business for Tashly Consulting, and although it was a challenging year in many respects, it was also a year of growth and success for our team. We overcame the challenges of COVID-19 and the ever-changing restrictions and came out the other side stronger and more resilient.
